Req

We are looking for conceptual artists whose work is primarily centered on ideas, processes, or gestures rather than material objects.

This could be an action, a situation, a system, a spatial or social intervention, research, or a thought experiment—anything that can be conveyed through a textual description and does not necessarily require a physical object or performance.

ONE HOUR is an experimental exhibition where each work exists for only 60 minutes before being covered by the next. We use a wall in an urban environment, where every hour, one artist posts a description of their conceptual work. If necessary, one image may be included to help illustrate the idea.

This exhibition is not just a platform for individual works but a conceptual statement in itself. The final piece of the day serves as a manifesto of the project, documenting its ephemeral nature.

  • Participation is free!

  • The location remains secret until the day of the exhibition.
  • You or your representative must be physically present in New York City on the day of the exhibition.
  • Each artist is given one hour within a one-day exhibition.
  • The exhibition will be documented in a catalog and digital archive.

Send an email to [email protected]:

  • A brief description of your artistic and conceptual practice (one paragraph)
  • A description of the art project you would like to present (one paragraph)
  • One optional image if it helps to illustrate the concept
  • Deadline: March 7, 2025
  • The exhibition will take place on March 8, 2025, in New York, NY, USA.
